MAIL ABUSE | IGNORING A SENDER
Communication
Another feature of Star Command is the communications department. From here you can send and receive messages. If you have unread mail, the communications link on the Star Command screen glows yellow.
Like alliances and espionage, you can not send new mail to a race that you have not already encountered. It is possible, however, for you to send mail to a race that you have encountered although that race may not have encountered you. In this case, the recipient can respond to your message but can not initiate a new message back to you until they have encountered you.

Managing your mailbox and sending new messages should be very straightforward. Unread messages are always displayed in bold. Message subject lines are listed in the race's choice color. Click on a message to read it. You have options to delete and respond to messages from that screen.
MAIL ABUSE
TERRITORIES 3069: Star Siege prohibits abuse of the mail system. No spamming or inappropriate messages will be tolerated. The messaging engine is designed to improve the environment of the game allowing races to communicate. Any use of the messaging engine for non-game related communication will be dealt with promptly and players may be immediately removed from the game.
Note! Do not send offensive in-game communications. If it is reported and we can confirm you sent offensive materials to another player, you will be immediately and permanently banned from the game.
IGNORING A SENDER
If you feel you have received a message that is inappropriate or you simply do not want to hear from a particular race again, you can use the "Ignore Sender" feature. Warning! You can not undo this option. Once you add a sender to your ignore list, you will not receive mail from that player again during that game. Races can still send you mail but it is never delivered. Races have no way of determining if they are being ignored by another player.
