REGISTERING AS A NEW PLAYER | CREATING A RACE

Joining the Battle

To begin playing TERRITORIES 3069: Star Siege you need to join the battle. This process involves two distinct stages:

  1. Registering as a new player
  2. Creating a race on a specific game server

Although there are hundreds of parallel games in progress, you are only allowed to participate in one game at a time per email address you register. To begin registering, you need to supply basic identification and demographic information including your real name, a valid email address and some basic demographic information about you.

Note! Our privacy policy is simple: We never, ever resell or redistribute your personal information.

Honesty is the best policy - you can and will be removed from the game without notice if you do not register using your real name and real demographic information. We never resell or redistribute this information. You earn the right to have an alias in our game by reaching a certain number of minimum wins. Please be honest.

VERIFYING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

Unless you are Multiplayer.com Gamepass participant or have previously become a member with your email address, you are required to validate the email address you provide us. This process is simple. We will send a message containing your validation code to the email address you have provided. You must echo that validation code back to our server where requested in order to complete your registration.

Email validation is also important for helping to eliminate multiplaying users. Multiplayers are not allowed in TERRITORIES 3069. Players found to be multiplaying will be immediately removed from the game without notice.

LOGGING IN

Once you have completed the player registration step, you will now be able to log into TERRITORIES 3069. The login screen grants you access to a variety of information including game announcements, your current win and loss statistics plus your rank.

If you are not already competing in a game, you will also have an option to join the battle in a new game. If you are already enrolled in a game, you can link directly to your Star Command from here.

To join a game, you simply need to create a race on one of the many parallel TERRITORIES servers. This process is very simple. Once you have created a race, however, you will continue playing with that race in that game until you either 1) win, 2) lose or 3) withdraw from the game. Your statistics will always be updated to reflect the result of the game.

SERVER SELECTION

There are hundreds and hundreds of games running simultaneously on a variety of servers. Each server offers different settings and parameters to provide a unique gaming experience. For more information on the possible configuration settings, see the servers section of this handbook.

RACE ATTRIBUTES

The final step requiring your input is the creation of the race that will represent you in the universe:

  • Race Name  -  This is the unique name of your race that will be displayed to other players in the game. Creative, science-fiction oriented names are encouraged. Inappropriately named races will be removed without notice.

  • Homeworld Name  -  This is the name of the first habitable world from which your race begins the game.

  • Ship Icon  -  Select an icon from the remaining bank of images that will represent your fighter-class ships. Based on your selection, the icons for battle cruisers and destroyers are automatically selected behind the scenes and will be revealed when you research those technologies.

  • Color  -  This is the color that will represent you on the star map, Status Reports, communications, espionage and alliance screens of other players in the game.

RANDOM PLACEMENT & PROTECTION

After these steps are complete, your race will be placed onto a random home planet in the next available parallel universe on the server you have selected. You begin the game with in control of a single solar system with a single habitable world. From these humble beginnings you are tasked to building an armada of ships to eventually control the entire universe. Every universe is different so your initial position could be one of strategic benefit (far away from any other habitable worlds but close to many resources) or disadvantage (immediately close to a powerful adversary). You won't know which scenario you're in until you either send out exploration ships or gather intelligence on your opponents.

On certain servers, new players will find themselves under the protection of the Solar Federation. The Solar Federation protects new races for a specific number of turns. While under their protection, your ships can not be attacked and planets you have conquered can not be destroyed or taken by another race. (Missiles fired at planets you control will be shot down at the last minute.) You can not attack other players during protection, either.
